Richard Trent Chase was born on the 23rd of May, 1950. He was nicknamed the 'Vampire of Sacramento' after killing 6 people in Sacramento and going on a blood binge for four days. Richard Chase has been described as unusual or weird since he was a child. He loved torturing animals and setting fires as a kid and became involved with heavy amounts of drugs as a teenager. His room-mates often complained his drug addiction. They also reported that he nailed his door shut because he felt paranoid of space invasion. Eventually, they all moved out, leaving Richard Chase alone. He was forced to move back in with his mother. Richard grew paranoid about his body. He believed that the Nazi's bribed his mother to poison him and turn his blood into powder. Richard Chase had one solution for this -to turn into a vampire. He started killing small animals (e.g rabbits, birds) and mutilated them while drinking their blood.
